About Population and Health InfoSharePopulation and Health InfoShare is an electronic library of material submitted by partner organizations working in less developed countries. InfoShare features documents and upcoming events on reproductive and child health, HIV/AIDS, and population. The primary objectives of InfoShare are to increase access to important population and health information; provide a means for organizations to share and exchange information; and foster greater dissemination of research findings and lessons learned. The ultimate objective is to advance knowledge in the population and health field, leading to improved living conditions. For users, InfoShare affords easy access to population and health material. Users may access documents and information on upcoming events by visiting the website. Users may also access documents by sending requests via e-mail. Additionally, users may subscribe to e-mail updates, specifying the material they want to receive by topic, region, and partner. For partner organizations, InfoShare has numerous benefits. The service helps organizations take advantage of the Web and e-mail without investing in new technology or staff. Partner organizations may use this service at no charge to share and exchange information, to disseminate their information on the Web, and to provide e-mail services to their audiences. InfoShare is part of a Population Reference Bureau initiative to heighten awareness and use of public health information through electronic technologies.
