The purpose of this activity was to conduct an evaluation of Peru’s national sanitation policies with a view toward supporting and collaborating with the Peruvian Ministry of Housing, Construction and Sanitation. This evaluation analyzed the adequacy of Peru’s sanitation policies for improving services involving excreta and wastewater disposal and focused on the needs of the currently unserved population, defined as poor urban population groups in large cities, including the residents of small cities and rural communities.
