This issue of Communication Impact presents the recent findings of the African Transformation evaluation study. Overall, men and women who participated in African Transformation workshops in Uganda were not only more likely to believe they could make a difference in their personal lives and communities, they were also more likely to report making the effort to do so. Furthermore, fewer participants, compared to non-participants, reported feeling constrained by traditional gender roles.
