With hundreds of thousands of the world’s women dying of cervical cancer every year, the report, Preventing Cervical Cancer Worldwide, highlights innovative approaches to reducing the impact of this preventable disease particularly in developing countries, where 83 percent of the world’s new cases and 85 percent of all cervical cancer deaths occur. The 24-page report reviews research conducted by the five-agency Alliance for Cervical Cancer Prevention on the safety, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of new prevention and treatment techniques.
