Hopkins Project Asks Public Help to
Send Vital Family Planning Information Overseas

Baltimore, MD — Health care providers in developing countries need accurate and up-to-date reproductive health information that could help them save hundreds of thousands of lives each year, help women and men plan their families, and prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS.

A new web-based campaign from the INFO project at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health allows web-site visitors to send out the latest family planning guidance for just $10 a copy.

The new \"Send a Handbook\" campaign, at www.fphandbook.org, invites people to defray the cost of sending print copies of Family Planning: A Global Handbook for Providers to developing countries. The World Health Organization, Johns Hopkins, and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) published the book earlier this year.
USAID\'s PSP-One project, led by Abt Associates, invites you to attend our expert panel event at this year\'s Global Health Council Conference.

When: May 27, 2008, 1:00 - 4:45 pm
