This is in regard to increase male participation in health related specially HIV/AIDS prevention activities.
PREFACE
AIDS, the acronym for the Acquire Immune Deficiency Syndrome has become a serious threat to humanity and control of infection lies not in hands of physicians alone but the entire society must involve in the task. No cure or vaccine is yet in sight. So the only mode of controlling is prevention. AIDS: Prevention is the cure. The key to prevention lies in information, education and communication. Awareness generation and bringing about change in behaviour among all classes of society is urgent need of the day to control HIV transmission.

India Canada Collaboration HIV/AIDS Project (ICHAP) allotted the work of Concurrent Evaluation of FHAC and Male Health Seeking Behaviour to Institute of Development Studies (IDS). The assessment of camps being organised in Alwar district of Rajasthan and survey was to be carried out.

As per methodology adopted for the assessment of Male Health Seeking Behaviour, Project Director along with Research Assistants collected the information required, by personally visiting the targeted area. The sincere services of the research team and the promptness with which the participants and others responded are really commendable. The cooperation extended by CMHO and others is also praise-worthy.

The constant guidance given by Director, Shri S.S. Acharya is also gratefully acknowledged.

I am grateful to Raj Doctor, ICHAP. I am thankful to M.S. Anjali Singh for giving suggestions time to time.
